Analytics for software and subscription businesses
Follow the customer, not the click.
Clicks are nice. Customers are nicer.
Vortex follows your customers from the ad they clicked to the last invoice they paid. Your marketing budget goes to the campaigns that bring in revenue, not just traffic.

Sound familiar?
Your website stats know the March campaign brought 4,000 visitors. They have no idea that eleven of them now pay you €300 a month.
Stripe knows those eleven. It has no idea where they came from.
So every Monday, someone exports two CSV files and plays detective in a spreadsheet. Usually you.
The tools that could connect it all want a tracking plan, a data engineer and a quarter. You wanted an answer by Thursday.
We know. That’s exactly why we built Vortex.
Up and running in an afternoon
- 1
Add one script to your website.
It counts visits and the campaigns behind them. No cookies, so no cookie banner.
- 2
Tell us when someone signs up.
Your server sends one small event with the account ID, and Vortex connects the new account to the visit it came from.
- 3
Connect Stripe.
Subscriptions, upgrades, refunds and cancellations flow in by themselves. Your checkout only has to pass along the account ID.
That’s it. We already decided which events matter. Nobody likes workshops, right?
Answers, not a toolkit
Every dashboard is ready on day one. You don’t build anything, you just read it.
Lifetime value by campaign
See which campaign brought the customers who stayed and spent, not just the most visitors.
Customers, compared
Group customers by where they came from, and see how active they are, how many pay, and what they’re worth, side by side.
MRR, churn and retention
The numbers a subscription business runs on, with trials, upgrades and refunds counted correctly.
Questions in plain language

What? Yes, really!
Vortex stores nothing on your visitors’ devices. Before signup, visits are counted anonymously. After signup, Vortex uses the account ID you already have. Everything is hosted in the EU, by a German company.
Your visitors won’t even notice we’re there. In the nicest possible way.
Don’t take our word for it
Have a look around our demo company: a made-up software business with made-up customers and very real dashboards. Click anything. You can’t break it.

Who we are
We’re incub8 Software Labs GmbH from Dortmund, Germany. We’ve been building analytics software for more than ten years. Vortex is everything we learned along the way, made small enough to be useful from the first day.
Questions you might have
What is Vortex?
Vortex is analytics for software and subscription businesses. It connects your marketing campaigns to the customers they bring in and to the revenue those customers generate, all in one place.
Do I need a cookie banner for Vortex?
No. Vortex stores nothing on your visitors’ devices, so there is nothing to consent to under cookie law. You still mention Vortex in your privacy policy, as with any service you use.
Do I need a developer?
For about an afternoon. Someone adds the script to your website, sends one event when an account is created, and adds the account ID to your Stripe checkout. Connecting Stripe itself takes no code.
Who is Vortex for?
Businesses that sell software or subscriptions online and want to know which marketing brings in paying customers. If you have a website, a signup and Stripe, you are in the right place.
Does Vortex work for online shops?
Not yet. Shops need their individual products tracked from the cart, which Stripe alone doesn’t provide. We’d rather say no than half yes.
Where is my data stored?
In the EU. Vortex is built and run by incub8 Software Labs GmbH, a German company.
What does Vortex cost?
Nothing for small businesses with up to 100 accounts a month. Above that, €29 a month for up to 1,000 accounts.
